Issuance of WPQR

LL-C (Certification) provides for issuance of accredited certifications of approval of Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR). The requested certifications are issued after the completion of tests in accredited testing laboratories within short periods of time.

We are capable of performing most of the tests within 2 working days after the samples are received and results of the tests are communicated to the clients immediately after the test is completed. Under usual circumstances reports about the completed tests are sent electronically within one working day after the test completion.

Do not hesitate to approach LL-C (Certification) workers to make sure that your request is fulfilled in time.

Welding Procedure Qualification Records - WPQR

Non-destructive tests.

The issuance of an inspection certificate for the Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) or Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is conditional on performance of a number of tests, such as visual inspection, radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing or ultrasonic flaw detection (UT or UFD), magnetic particles testing (MT) and dye penetrant test (PT).

Destructive tests.

Another part is the application of suitable mechanical tests, e.g. tensile strength test of a welded joint, crosswise tensile test, lengthwise bending test, crosswise bending test, impact test.

Macroscopic, microscopic test and other assessments.

Overall evaluation of the welded joint is completed with a macroscopic test, evaluation of hardness, checking of fracture behavior of a welded joint, impact strength, corrosion resistance, metallographic test, test of microstructure, determination of ferrite quantity - determination of the ferrite number.

ISO 3834-4:2005 (basic level of quality requirements)

- intended for the range of products with basic safety requirements, which are exposed to average static stress, products are made of normal materials of known weldability, mechanical stability of products is ensured.

ISO 3834 and marketing

Will the welding production management system help marketing?

It is the other way round, marketing must establish requirements concerning the quality management system within welding processes. The client s opinion about the quality of welding operations is important. There is a number of fields where the supplier can only meet the requirements made by product standards, however it is necessary to take into account that according to the client the quality is not only the utility properties of a product, however the client assesses also the quality of related logistic, production supporting and production processes as well as other ways of communication in connection with the final provision of the order. In a number of fields the standardised quality requirements do not exist or the standards fail to respond to modern trends. The welding production management system in accordance with ISO 3834:2005 is a key factor as a company management system owing to which the management can adopt proper strategic decisions about production innovation or for instance about the changes in processes in order to improve quality.

ISO 3834 & EN 1090

The growth of the applicability of steel structures in construction increases the demand not only quality but also on the safety performance of welding work. Construction industry (steel building structures, bridge structures, etc.) is an area where manufacturers face significant demands on safety and quality of welded joints, which is necessary to declare the quality management system certification in welding processes according to ISO 3834:2005 & EN 1090:2007 .

Welder testing

LL-C (Certification) provides for exams of welders, soldering and welding operators subject to the authorization by CWS ANB (CZECH WELDING SOCIETY AUTHORIZED NATIONAL BODY). The examiners have appropriate professional qualification based on their education (IWE, EWE), many years of experience in the field and they have valid letters of appointment issued by CWS ANB. The issued authorizations and certificates of welder exams are valid worldwide.
